Socro is a homework tutor that won’t do the work for you. It guides students with questions and hints, so they learn the material instead of copying an answer.
How Socro started
When AI tools that could finish homework in seconds became available to everyone, Neil started asking students how they were using them. He heard the same answer again and again: they were copying their homework straight from AI. The assignments were getting done, but the learning wasn’t happening.
Neil founded Socro in 2026 to change that. Now there is a tutor that guides students to the answer instead of handing it over.
Our mission
Socro is built around one idea. The student does the thinking, and Socro coaches them through it the way a patient tutor would: asking what they’ve tried, giving one hint at a time, and pointing out where their reasoning went wrong. Our goal is simple: every student should leave a session understanding a little more than when they started.
